left-handed keyboard / productivity / ergonomic
ZEYI is the pioneer and benchmark brand focused exclusively on left-handed keyboards. We redesign keyboard logic for right-hand mouse users, helping people work faster, sit more naturally, and reduce unnecessary strain during long hours at the computer.
A left-handed keyboard places the numeric keypad and navigation keys on the left side, allowing the right hand to remain on the mouse for smoother and more efficient operation.
Traditional keyboards were designed with the numeric keypad and navigation area on the right. That layout made sense in earlier computing history, but modern users often rely heavily on the mouse.
For designers, accountants, engineers, traders, office users, and gamers, frequent switching between keyboard and mouse slows the workflow and increases fatigue in the right hand, shoulder, and neck.
ZEYI rethinks that old layout. By moving key functional areas to the left side, users can type, input numbers, and keep the mouse in the right hand at the same time.
Focus, originality, and practical problem-solving have made ZEYI a leading name in the left-handed keyboard field.
Pioneer in the Industry
ZEYI has focused on left-hand input devices since 2016 and launched the first left-handed keyboard in China in 2017.
Original Layout Design
The iconic “Left Backspace” layout is an original ZEYI design and has become a signature feature of the brand.
Higher Efficiency
Our layout is designed to improve workflow efficiency by over 20 percent while reducing unnecessary movement.
Better Comfort
Keeping the right hand on the mouse helps reduce fatigue in the right hand, shoulder, and upper body during long sessions.
A brand begins with a real problem.
In my daily work, I needed to input numbers frequently.
With a traditional keyboard, the left hand had to reach to the right side, forcing the body into an awkward position.
If I used my right hand instead, it had to constantly switch between the keyboard and the mouse.
Efficiency dropped, and fatigue in the right hand and shoulder became obvious.
This problem is not unique.
Most people naturally use the mouse with their right hand because it is more precise and efficient.
As data processing becomes more intensive, professionals such as CAD designers, cost engineers, accountants, and office users repeat the same inefficient actions every day.
Input. Switch. Input again.
Time is lost, and the body takes the burden.
Posture becomes distorted, and long-term strain builds up in the neck and shoulders.
At that point, a question came up:
What if the numeric keypad and navigation keys were placed on the left side?
I searched the market.
There was no suitable product in China.
Some existed overseas, but the price was high.
At the same time, I noticed many people were actively looking for such a keyboard.
That made one thing clear.
The demand existed.
It simply had not been properly addressed.
So I decided to build it.
Coming from outside the industry, the journey was not easy.
Since developing the first model in 2017, there were many challenges and lessons along the way.
But the direction never changed.
The goal was always to create a keyboard that truly solves the problem and is genuinely practical to use.
The combination of a left-handed keyboard and a right-hand mouse changes the entire workflow.
Hand movement is reduced.
Operations become smoother.
Posture becomes more natural.
And efficiency improves.
This is the value behind ZEYI.
Since launching the first left-handed keyboard in 2017, ZEYI has built a complete product system.
We hold multiple patents, software copyrights, and design rights, and have registered trademarks such as “Left Key” and “Left Numpad.”
Our products are now exported to the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Northern Europe, and Japan.
More companies are adopting left-handed keyboards across entire offices.
From large corporate headquarters to specialized professional teams.
These real-world applications continue to confirm one thing.
This is a meaningful direction worth long-term commitment.
ZEYI created the left-handed keyboard category.
And continues to redefine how keyboards should work.
We are not just building keyboards.
We are building a more balanced and efficient way to work.
From the first model to multi-mode mechanical keyboards, ZEYI has continued to expand the left-handed keyboard category.
